| 2008 Milford Lake Extreme--Tyler Tate, Team Awesome Extreme " . . . I was just out there because the allure of sanctioned insanity is irresistible. Normally I wouldn’t tromp through poison ivy and cross creeks on downed trees….The sun was still low in the sky and the weather was perfect. We were out in the middle of nowhere. You could see forever and still not see a road/house/town anything but fields. We checked our map and continued south east on our bikes. . . "I shall be telling this with a sigh, Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference" …we took the dirt road. I think Frost must have been a mountain biker. . .We bombed the steep dirt road and ended up at the entrance of a field. "Thank" you Robert Frost! All 4 of us now have pushed ourselves farther than we have ever gone. “You don’t know you’re wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day” (Charmion says Amen Brother!) |
