BACK IT UP TRAIL RACES   4/10/10, 5/22/10, 9/18/10
    VOLUNTEERS ARE WELCOME AND NEEDED!
    A series of 5k,10k and 15k trail races brings cross country trail racing to the lake on a challenging and scenic course (most challenging
    in the state of KS?--overheard a few times) that winds through most of the 100 acres at Acorns Resort (includes hills, creeks, ravines,
    forests, rocks and switchbacks). Registration is $10

    WILD WEST ECO--USARA National Qualifier--5/1/2010  
    VOLUNTEERS ARE WELCOME AND NEEDED!
    50 +/- miles wild west style, discover how much true grit you really have.  3 person co-ed is the premier division for the qualifier.  But 2
    person coed teams will be eligible for ranking and prizes.  Cowboy up, it's going to be a wild ride.  A 25 mile course is also available for
    those of you who want to experience the wild west with a little less pain.  Sorry but no 4 person teams this time--it's a water thing.

    W.O.W. (Wild Outdoor Women) "Charm" School--7/14-7/17/10
    For women only, led by women.  Ropes (climbing, rappelling, traversing, anchors),  navigation, kayaking, hiking, yoga & more.  1 ½ days
    “base camp” activities & 2 days/overnight kayaking & remote camp on river.  No previous experience necessary, all ability levels
    welcome.  This may be the most remarkable outdoor trip you every imagined in Kansas.

    KAYAK RIVER TRIPS--Weekends by appt April through October   
    Republican, Smokey, Kansas or Blue River (TBD based on water elevations)
    Groups of 4-7 kayakers.   $75/each for gear rental, guide, shore lunch, transportation  to put in/take out.  Around 25 miles total
    "downstream" casual float/paddle time (with sandbar lunch), bring your camera to catch the beautiful scenery and unsuspecting wildlife
    in some rather "remote" Kansas areas.  Email Charmion to arrange (2-4 weeks advance reservations recommended).

    ROPES COURSE Weekends by appt March through November    email charmion to register
    Rappel, ascend and/or traverse during 4 hr hands on classes.  Class size minimum 2 and max 6.   Bring water bottles, snacks, bug
    spray and gloves.  Recommended to wear lightweight long pants and tennis shoes.  Cost is $65/per person. 2 weeks advance
    reservations recommended.

    MILFORD LAKE Off Road Triathalon July 24th, 2010
    VOLUNTEERS ARE WELCOME AND NEEDED!
    Challenge yourself to the extremes of the Flint Hills! Not your typical town race, this course will start in a 200m swim across Farnum
    Creek, followed by a 12 mi bike on roads/mtb single track trails, then for the final test--you'll hit Liminal Trail running the 5k distance.  
    Registration is $25.  Location, Acorns Resort, Milford, KS.
