3 person Co-Ed teams are the official divisions for prizes.

$45 per racer after March 1st and before March 13th (reg closes).
*includes free orienteering class (Mar 12th, sign up here for orienteering), race, watercraft rental,
t-shirt, maps, and free tent camping at Acorns Resort on Fri/Sat.

    SPECIAL NOTE
Liminal Trail and Farnum Creek Corps of Engineers campground will be closed to all racers from
4pm on Saturday (3/19).  If your team is on the trail/in the campground after this time, you will be
assessed a 1 hr penalty for the race.

    COURSE
    Mileage
Teams will cover approx 12 miles between Acorns Resort and Farnum Creek Park.  They will
walk/run 3 miles, mountain bike about 7-8 miles, canoe 1 mile and use basic navigation skills.
    Who should do this course?
Perfect for beginner teams, families with children ages 8-17 & teams that want to test out  winter
training before hitting the big ones.  Also great for experienced teams introducing new racers.
    Finishing times
Top teams will finish around 1.5 hrs and most will be out there around 2.5 hrs.  Teams do not
have to get all CPs to finish the race, but they must make TA's (transition areas) and cut off times
for official finish.  Teams that do not make all CPs will be ranked behind teams that do.
How technical is the race--biking and navigation?
There will be no technical mountain biking required, though a portion of the bike course will be
cross country.  Teams will need to plot UTMs, but the scale of topo maps will be 1:10000 and
UTM rulers will be provided at check in.  Sign up for the nav class to really be ready, but if you can't
attend the class, you can receive basic instruction on plotting at race check-in (and teams can
have race staff check plotting if time allows).   Most CPs on foot will be attainable by trail, most
CPS on bike will be attainable by man made or terrain feature association.  Teams may choose to
'bushwack", be wary--protect your exposed areas, it is dense out there.
    Support/Fans/Transition Area/Bike Gear
Family/friends on site during the race will not be able to watch the teams in most areas of the
course.  It will be easiest for fans to stay in the transition area (beach) during the race--but they
are not allowed to provide any physical support during the race.  Racers will not be able to access
ANY additional gear/water/nutrition in the transition area.  All must be on your  body/backpack the
entire race (unless otherwise directed during race).  Bike Related Gear can stay on your bike at all
times (no need to carry in your backpack).

    RACE CHECK-IN
    Time:  11:45am-12:45pm
Location & Parking:  Acorns Resort Office, 1st bldg on your left after you enter the resort.  Please

building (heading back out of the resort). Vehicles parked anywhere else will need to be moved.
