Twister Mountain Bike Race--June 25th, 2011 COURSE A 25 mile loop of twisting single track (about 7 mi), gravel trail (about 10 mi), cross country/grass trail (about 8 mi). The race will go through trails at Milford State Park and Republican Riverwalk. There are parts of this course you'll fly through, and others that will take some real grit. Finishing times will vary from 2-4 hrs. Some areas of the State Park are technical--and the whole course is beautiful, most of it following Milford Lake and Republican River. If you're not sure about your ability, just get out there and give it a try--you'll be glad you did. If you're not able to finish, that's a heck of alot more to be proud of than not being able to start. REGISTRATION $35 per racer until Jun 11th. $45 per racer from Jun 12th to June 18th (registration closing) Registration includes marked course, 2 aid stations, t-shirt. Proceeds will go to the The Skin Cancer Foundation, in memory of Jim O'Day. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED See what you can give, learn and gain as a volunteer--High Schoolers looking for community service hours, this would be a great way to earn a fun 4-8 hrs (nonprofit event). RACE CHECK-IN Time: 9:30am-9:45am Location & Parking: MSP, details TBA What: Sign waivers (under 18 must have parental waiver signed), get race packets and pickup t- shirts (sizes 1st come 1st serve).
