- 7/24/2010 A great field of racers came out Saturday morning and took on the hottest temps
and toughest trails Kansas has to offer. Mother Nature did her part and came through in a
big way. The high water level receded some just in the knick of time and left crazy
obstacles on the already tough Liminal Trail. Racers started with the swim in Farnum
Creek followed by 11 mile bike and 3.1 mile run. Lots of spectators did their best to stay
cool in the shade while racers finished in amazing form, even given the extra challenge on
the MTB on Crystal Trail (improvements planned for 2011). If there's another 15 mile
triathalon in the state of Kansas that compares to this one, we haven't heard of it.
